We used to do zones, which is a great idea, but then my oldest decided he wanted to be in charge of dishes every day so that left my 7 year old and I with the rest of the house. The two of us work together until it's done.

Great post!Larahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12518442124374879454noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20381399.post-37057989474515160072007-08-29T08:35:00.000-05:002007-08-29T08:35:00.000-05:00Great idea! I'm going to have to think about how to implement it here.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20381399.post-21707853431525108532007-08-29T01:25:00.000-05:002007-08-29T01:25:00.000-05:00I LOVE this idea! We rotate weekly dish duties and I've been mulling over the idea of assigning a room to go with the dish duty.

In other words, it's your week to do breakfast dishes, you're also in charge of the kitchen and family room. Lunch takes the hall way and laundry room (doing at least one load of laundry a day). Supper has the living room.

I'm still working through the details but I loved hearing another family is doing something similar (with success).

Duckabush BlogKathy in WAhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17214274261673123725noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20381399.post-90251470527682574872007-08-29T00:39:00.000-05:002007-08-29T00:39:00.000-05:00That last bit is the most important, isn't it? We really have to keep an eye on her when the dishwasher is open.Mrs. Ohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14159440829600935461noreply@blogger.com
