Today is the day of the big recognition lovefest--aka the Strike Party.
And here we are--the ladies who make the makeup magic happen. It was the fifth show we've done makeup for together!
We have 17 kids between the three of us; all of us homeschool and have teenagers down to toddlers.
The gal on the right is the one who takes my kids every other Friday, and I take hers on the other Fridays. (It's working so well, we're going to try it twice a week now!)
The sweetheart in red chaired the Makeup Committee this time--which was absolutely providential, as I really couldn't have done it this time, with my foot surgery. She did an awesome job too!
Do you see the plastic shoe bags hanging behind us? That's the Encouragement Board, a place for the kids to write and leave encouraging notes for each other. It's up at every rehearsal and performance. It really helps to keep the atmosphere positive!
