Interchangeable

"Guys, guys, look at my retard!" Chicklet4 cried breathlessly, spinning around and showing off her new LEOTARD (part of her costume for The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe).

The Bantam responsible for her knowledge of the word caught my eye and grinned sheepishly. "Yeah, I know. A bad example...."

The irony is that years ago, Blondechick and her girlfriend decided that "leotard" would make a good friendly insult to use with each other, since use of the other word was forbidden. As in, "Give me some popcorn, you leotard," or "You look like a leotard in those pants."

Reminds me of the time that my two brothers convinced me that they knew a "fun" game that we needed to play. All I had to do was stand across the room and they were going to toss pennies into my mouth (and when I say pennies - yes, I mean coins). It was all fun and games until someone (meaning me!) swallowed one. Oh, what can we do with those brothers! Makes good memories I guess :-)
