Barbara Curtis (of Mommy Life) had the right idea when she wrote this article almost ten years ago. She interviewed couples who had been married for 50 years or more and asked them their marriage secrets.
Their answers were old-fashioned and refreshing in their simplicity; they didn't need or expect much.

I went and read this and it was such a joy! How wise to listen to the survivors.... or the experts, in my opinion.
