Epiphany Sunday at Light of Christ

We had a wonderful Epiphany service yesterday, in the beautiful old chapel...

...with lots of visitors in attendance, since we had another baptism!

We received this special family as members--(here they are, minus their older two children)--

and it was a joy to meet their extended family at church and at a luncheon afterwards.

I kept tearing up during the service, inexplicably,
except for the movement of the Spirit in a powerful way, I thought--through the worship...

the sermon, and always at a baptism...
and because I'm just so grateful to God for his blessings!
New friends, new life, His presence with us, His leading--
just as He gave the wise men a star to follow,
He keeps giving us little glimmers that we're on the right path.

I really relate to the wise men, though--it was a long journey.

They did it one step after another, one day at a time.

So I, camel-like, follow their lead.

What a lovely chapel!

That's a beautiful thought - to look for the God glimmers throughout each day.
