So today's the day we find out about the house!
Actually, we found out on Tuesday that our offer was accepted. But--there is another offer in there ahead of us. Ours was accepted over theirs because theirs has a contingency (ours does not). They get 72 hours to think about whether they want to drop their contingency, and if they do--then theirs is the primary offer and they get the house. But if they don't, then our offer becomes primary and we get the house.
So I haven't started packing any boxes yet. (I've been too busy, anyway, what with cleaning and leaving our place all day for a realtor's open house, homeschooling, meeting with a friend, and Wicked.)
Our kids keep asking, "How many more hours?" So we asked our realtor/friend last night, and apparently the time actually extends to midnight of the third day. That means we'll still be in suspense until tomorrow morning!
Father Rooster and I figure that if they do drop the contingency and we lose the house, it'll be the Lord's doing--since it's very unlikely, their realtor says. So we're feeling peace about the outcome, either way.
Can't help feeling a bit impatient, though!

wow Hen, praying for you guys and the clear view of God's will for you!
hey, did you feel the earthquake? Those are old hat here, but if you are not used to them, they can be scary.
Jenny--
The only one who heard it, we think, was our 5-year-old. She came into our room about that time, frightened because she "heard someone in the kitchen." She's never waken up for that reason or anything like it before, so it was weird.
Then my husband called me this morning to tell me that the earthquake was probably what woke her up!
