Precious in the Eyes of the Lord is the Death of His Saints

Our friend John Fawcett has gone to be with the Lord.

Please pray for his wife Margie, his children, Charlotte and Josiah, his parents, siblings and extended family, and the many friends and parishioners who knew and loved him--including Papa Rooster. He and John were very close.

As Bantam17 said when I told him the news, "Oh, so he's starting a new life now. [pause] But I will miss him."

He IS starting a new life, huh? Leading worship around the throne, his big voice booming out the songs.

Our new worship minister at church went to Rez in his Wheaton days. When we were singing a new version of the Lord's Prayer the other Sunday, I looked down to see that John Fawcett had written it. I never even knew him, but his gifts are still being used in service to the Kingdom. Peace to you all and to his family. I lost my father to cancer two years ago, and I know how difficult a journey it is but what great hope we have.

What sad news, Jeanne.... I will be praying for his family, and rejoicing that he is home in Heaven.
