Missing Teeth, Missing Tooth Fairy

Ah, the poor, confused, directionally-challenged Tooth Fairy, whom I have blogged about before....

After the 4th or 5th night that she didn't find our house, I suggested that Bantam9 help write a note for Chicklet6. Later, after the kids were put to bed, I uncovered it:

Dear Tooth Fairy,

[Chicklet]'s tooth fell out. You are at the right place to give money to her.

Directions:

Go up the stairs. Turn right, then left. Then there will be two doors. Go in the left door. Then turn right and [Chicklet] will be there.

I am happy to report that that night, she arrived and successfully located the right pillow.

I am sorry to say that no sooner had we met with this success than another tooth fell out. Now all she wants for Christmas--besides another visit from the Tooth Fairy--is her two front teeth!

Come on, pictures! I want pictures!

(Chicklet grins, not the tooth fairy--just so we're clear)

Very cute note. :)

Poor fairy! I hope Santa brings the fairy a GPS system for Christmas. Especially since she might have as many as 3 kids in your house who will need her services!

Amy,

There is a picture in the other Tooth Fairy post...but today, she has a black eye and a huge lump on her forehead! B3 and B17 were wrestling in a bedroom when B17 sort of flung B3 off his back and knocked Chicklet down, where she hit her face on an open bottom drawer!

We have much the same woes at our house..with our first child, the toothfairy came, and left a trail of pixie-dust on the windows (glitter) and special gold dollar coins with glitter on them. Now, with child #4, the toothfairy is usually delayed, rained-out or scared away by the cat.

just another thing to have mom-guilt over!

That Tooth Fairy! She's missed our house before, too! I think she must have too many teeth to keep track of...or maybe to much laundry. Or too many dishes to wash? Or too many holy socks to mend?

She sounds stressed. I think she just needs a vacation. Alone. With no kids. For three days. At a spa.

Am I right? :)

Jenny--

I'm afraid even our first two had trouble with that forgetful Tooth Fairy.

One of my favorite parenting maxims is: Begin as you mean to go on!

AC--

Oh, yes you are right...so right...!
