Pentecost Sunday

O God, by the sacrament we celebrate today
you sanctify the whole Church
among all races and all peoples.
When the Holy Spirit came down on the Apostles,
the Gospel was preached to the world for the first time ever,
according to your will.
Pour out now the gifts of the Spirit onto the whole world,
and through the hearts of those who believe in you
may the Gospel be spread and your will be fulfilled.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
God for ever and ever.
