Befuddled

I wish I could post about all that is going on in my husband's job search. He's been an executive-level businessman in the health care industry for 13 years or so; he is experienced, knowledgable and highly-thought-of by co-workers. For the last 3.5 years, he's also been serving, not for pay, as a priest at our church--helping with services on Sunday mornings and occasionally preaching, teaching, counseling and making hospital visits. He'll do 3 or 4 weddings a year and about that many house blessings, plus the occasional funeral.; he also mentors young men. He keeps thinking about going into full-time ministry and till recently, we've been hearing, "Not yet."

Now, we're a bit befuddled. He's been without a job for 5 months. We sensed at the time he lost his job that it was a "God-thing"--but what does God mean by it? We're getting inklings, but...?

This last week has been a roller-coaster of "God-spotting." We think, oh, maybe THAT's what He's doing! No, it must be THIS. Oh, well, it wasn't that, or that...so is it...this other thing? Or maybe...that?

Only one thing's for sure. Aslan is on the move!
