Dwarf
I don't know if I should admit this, but in the show, my 8-year-old sings, with great growling gusto, a song called "Murder Today" that begins with these words: "We do maimings on Mondays to kick off the week/ Which have earned perfect tens for both style and technique." "Our boilings in oil are never humdrum," Fenris Ulf adds, "They're on Wednesdays at six--Say you'll come!" The Dwarf continues, "We do rackings on Friday/ For hours at a stretch"--and I'll stop there.
But I do tell you, because they get to a line that goes: "But this is the good stuff: A murder todaaaaaay!" and Bantam8 lets it rip. He is SO. LOUD. And as he sings, he GROWLS.
"How does he DO that with his voice?" one little Leopard asked me earnestly last night.
He invented his whole character. At the very first practice, he was doing the Dwarf's voice, the Dwarf's walk, the Dwarf's measured way of growling his lines, the Dwarf's evil, LOUD laugh.
He, deservedly, steals the show.

Oh! Do you have a video? I'd LOVE to hear/see him!
Mary--
We don't have any video, yet--there has been some recording going on but I don't know if or in what form the cast will receive any of it. Nor have I learned how to post anything on YouTube yet....
We really should get a good close-up living room video, at least! Is YouTube the best way to share video?

Way to go Bantam8!!! You do us all proud! We can hardly wait until the night we see you--which is now soon! Love, Pianomum
I've been reading all your Narnia posts - and wishing that I had been there to see it! Congratulations to each one you!
As luddite as I tend to be, I've found YouTube really easy to use and share with. Although I haven't tried any of the other forums ...
I so wish I could have been around for this show!
