What We're Reading

So is this a great idea for an easy, gone-on-vacation post, or what? Thanks to my friend at Homemade Mama, who gave me the idea when she asked what Bantam17 and I were reading in the pictures in this post!

So what's everybody reading currently?

Bantam3: The Little Engine That Could (ad nauseum)

Chicklet5: The Secret Garden (a Troll picture book abridgement)

Bantam9: Mr. Popper's Penguins. His bathroom reading, though, is Calvin & Hobbes, Garfield, and The Far Side--over and over and over and over....

Bantam13: Harry Potter (the 5th book, the first time)

Blondechick15: Harry Potter (the 6th book, the third time)

Bantam 17: The Silmarillion (Tolkien), Dragon Avenger (E. Knight), The Cross and the Switchblade (Wilkerson--a leftover Sonlight curriculum selection)

Mama Hen: The Island of the World (O’Brien), Beyond Smells and Bells (Galli), No: Why Kids—of All Ages—Need to Hear It and Ways Parents Can Say It (Walsh)

Papa Rooster: The Living Witness of the Holy Mountain (Golitzin), A Night in the Desert of the Holy Mountain (Metropolitan of Nafpaktos Hierotheos), Magic Lantern Guide to the Nikon D300 (Stafford), The How of Happiness (Lyubomirsky)

Hmmmm, very telling....

Thanks for sharing. I love knowing what trusted friends are reading. Although I've got an 80 book backlog at the moment...

Tell Papa Rooster that I am VERY impressed that he is reading books by authors that I can't even fathom how to pronounce their names! :o)

Amy--

I wondered if anyone would comment on those authors! They're all Greek Orthodox guys. So...Greek to me, too!
