B17 Speaks

Bantam17, commenting on today's health class on CPR:

"I hate mannequins. They are so weird. They're just strange. They're so lifeless."

When asked how his new gel bike seat cover worked out:

"Much better. I could think today, because I wasn't in so much pain."

He said he felt so much more awake today at lunchtime than he usually has been this week. Why? Because he took a nap in class--the instructor let everyone, he said.

"He let the whole class have a naptime?" I asked, disbelievingly.

"No, he let us take naps while he was testing someone on the mannequins. Well, you could study, too, but some of us were taking naps."

I caught him later, sitting on the couch removing his shoes, with an amused smile on his face.

"What?" I asked.

"Mannequins," he smiled, shaking his head.
